George Calombaris

George Calombaris is one of the world’s most decorated chefs; recognised and respected around the world by his peers and the general public for his culinary genius and his absolute passion for food.

In his home country of Australia, George has built a massive following as a result of his successful and hugely popular restaurants, as well as headlining MasterChef Australia for 12 years, helping take it from domestic success story to global blockbuster.

George also has a significant following in countries as diverse as India, South Africa, Greece, Netherlands, Poland, United Kingdom and Indonesia; instantly recognised through his appearances on TV shows including MasterChef Australia, MasterChef Poland, MasterChef Greece and Saturday Kitchen in the UK, among many others.

George’s career has seen him at the forefront of some of Australia’s finest, award-winning restaurants; leading and mentoring many of Australia’s next generation of extraordinary young chefs and hospitality workers.

His skills have been acknowledged though many personal accolades including Young Entrepreneur of the Year and Young Chef of the Year…but he loves nothing more than being on the tools, in a kitchen surrounded by dedicated, passionate and talented young artisans.

As well as mentoring young talent, George has always given his time generously to important causes including mental health and bowel cancer prevention.

George Calombaris is a man with a story to tell. From winning a scholarship as an apprentice, to competing in prestigious international events including the Bocuse d'Or culinary grand prix in France, working for and then owning some of Australia’s finest restaurants, becoming a published author of multiple successful books, and then all the way through to his time as a celebrated chef on some of television’s most successful shows.

And still to this day George remains absolutely committed to his craft. Through the trials and tribulations that have come his way, his creativity, knowledge, and ability to show love through his food will never be lost. George is a risk taker and a leader; a trend maker, always on the lookout for something that makes his work stand out from the rest, in every aspect.

George is the Culinary Director at Hotel Sorrento, one of Melbourne’s oldest and cherished establishments, located on the Mornington Peninsula.

SARAH TODD

Chef Sarah Todd has risen to the top of the culinary world since her first appearance as a MasterChef Australia contestant in Season 6 in 2014, and most recently a finalist in MasterChef Australia 2022 Fans vs Favourites. Sarah has become one of the most renowned names in the Indian food scene. Aftera life-changing decision that saw her open her first restaurant in India, Antares in Goa.

The restaurant quickly became one of the most popular food destinations in India. This venture's success saw Sarah return to Australian TV screens in a six-part series in 2016 called, My Restaurant in India. It has now aired in 156 countries giving her global recognition.

2021, Sarah was named in the LuxeBook Top 50 most powerful and influential women leaders in Indian Luxury. 2018 saw Sarah open her second restaurant in India, situated in the bustling Lower Parel in Mumbai. 2020, Sarah published her second cookbook, My Indian Kitchen, showcasing Indian inspired recipes that are quick and simple to create.

Sarah's classical skills honed from Le Cordon Bleu, combined with her extensive travels across India, have influenced her unique cooking style. In 2020, Sarah was the official chef for the Australian Open in an all-female AO Chefs Series. Throughout the tournament, Sarah hosted a fine dining restaurant captured in a 5-part TV series called Perfect Serve which aired on Channel 9 in Australia and globally. During her tenure at the Australian Open, Sarah showcased the best Australian produce combining her signature creativity using spices with simplicity and elegance. With ten TV shows under her belt, Sarah is now in demand as an international chef, restaurateur, TV host, speaker and entrepreneur. She has a solid digital influence across her social platforms, with a reach of over one million. This influence has seen her collaborate with internationally renowned chefs, including Heston Blumenthal, Marco Pierre White, George Calombaris and Ranveer Brar, and lifestyle and food brands such as Mercedes Benz, Lexus, Grey Goose, Lavazza and Hugo Boss. As a former high fashion model, Sarah has also worked with some of the world's most recognisable fashion brands, including Gucci, Hugo Boss, Pantene and Seafolly. Sarah has appeared at many prestigious events as a keynote speaker, including the Economic Times Global Summit alongside India's prime minister, Narendra Modi and the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit with the internationally renowned chef Heston Blumenthal. Sarah rounded out 2019 as host of Western Australia's premier food festival, The Gourmet Escape.

Sarah's most significant achievement is her beautiful 11-year-old son Phoenix. He loves to join her in the kitchen in their Melbourne home, a Junior MasterChef in the making!
